In addition to striving for the most personable service around, Winter Mud is also dedicated to maintaining the safest working environment for our employees and the companies we serve.  Winter Mud is an active member of PEC / Premier Safety Management.  This is a program that tracks and rates a company’s safe job performance and allows other companies to use that information when considering Winter Mud for a job.  Our ratings are above the recommended standard and we aim to improve that every day.  Our mud specialists go through various degrees of safety training and are well equipped with the knowledge and equipment to handle any situation. 

Each month we add to that knowledge with our company wide safety meeting.  We cover a variety of different topics each month.  The topics can range from basic first aid and job site safety to safe electrical practices and defensive driving.  We make sure we are preparing our mud engineers to react safely to the ever changing environment that surrounds them on the job site.  The Winter Mud engineers are also required to perform random “tailgate” safety meetings on the job site to help remind the rig crews that it is always important to be safe and prepared.  Winter Mud is also affiliated with a company that randomly tests our employees for illegal drug use.  We do this not because we don’t trust our employees but to show the companies we work for that our mud engineers will always be operating in a healthy and safe state.

The world we send our mud engineers into every day is unpredictable and Winter Mud is continually taking steps to make it a safer place to get the job done.
